Get Good Brows

Have you heard about Glossier makeup and skincare? Their tag line is that they are “A beauty brand inspired by Real Life.” We love that here at Real Life Style! The product line was born from the beauty blog Into the Gloss, which gained a following by interviewing celebrities about their beauty routines. I mean, who wouldn’t want to know what products movie stars like Emma Watson use, especially when she’s gone through the trouble of researching natural and organic products for herself. The blog also features models and beauty and fashion entrepreneurs, other people who you’d love to get a peek into their makeup bags!

Back to the Glossier products. I wasn’t thrilled with the holding power of Benefit’s Gimme Brow that I bought from Sephora in the fall and had been looking for something new when Rosana, my partner in crime for The Stylist Studio, mentioned that she had just ordered Boy Brow from Glossier. I basically hounded her till she received it and told me she loved it, then promptly ordered my own in Brown. I love how they do the shades. Brown, Black, Blonde or Clear. That is pretty self-explanatory! I threw a Stretch Concealer into my shopping bag because I loved the idea of a concealer that didn’t crease and am always on the lookout for a good one.

So what’s the verdict? Yay, DOUBLE YAY in all caps actually, to the Boy Brow. Ixnay to the stretch concealer for me personally. Boy Brow does everything it promises to do: thicken, fill in and groom brows in one easy swipe. I also love that it doesn’t take up much space in my makeup bag for travel. While the concealer does not settle, it also doesn’t cover my super duper dark circles very well. My pot of NYX Dark Circle Concealer is actually a much better fit for me, with more coverage and a brighter tone.

Have you tried any makeup or skincare products from Glossier? I’d love to hear about it!
