Every season, OPI releases a new line of colors inspired by and named after a city or region. I’ve been following their seasonal lines religiously since Fall 2012, when the Germany collection released some of my favorite colors: “Don’t Pretzel My Buttons,” “Unfor-greta-bly Blue,” and “Every Month is Oktoberfest.” Since OPI Germany, we’ve seen Central Europe, San Francisco, Brazil, Nordic, Hawaii, Venice, and New Orleans. Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for is here: OPI Washington DC! I haven’t been this excited for an OPI line since the Katy Perry collection from 2010.
What can you expect from a nail polish collection inspired by DC? Surprise! Office friendly creme neutrals and fall tones. They really hit the nail on the head there. While I’m a little disappointed there isn’t one shimmer or glitter, I do get it and I do appreciate it.
There are 12 shades in the collection, plus 3 limited edition Kerry Washington collaboration shades. Unfortunately, I don’t have any nail art pictures to show you today. The collection launches August 3rd, so check our Instagram for pictures of the colors I end up getting! Right now, my favorites are “Stay off the Lawn!,” “Suzi – First Lady of Nails,” “OPI by Popular Vote” “Yank my Doodle,” and “Squeaker of the House.” For better views of the colors, see below.
