We all need simple these days, don’t we? Dresses caught on like wildfire about 10 years (or was it more?) ago because once women discovered the one and done lifestyle, there was no turning back. No matter how hard the fashion industry has tried to get women to go back to the blouse and skirt combo, they have refused. Summer is coming, our lives are only getting busier and our need for comfort even greater.
I have to admit, a small part of me has raged every time I have gotten one of those “old-fashioned” recipe exchange chain emails since the start of the Covid-19 Quarantine. Isn’t it enough that we are homeschooling, working our day jobs, cooking, and cleaning? Do we also have to take the time to choose a Pinterest-perfect recipe for everyone else?
Mother’s Day seems especially poignant this year. Not to take away from Dads in any way, especially two Dad households, but article after article seems to state that in most cases, mothers are bearing the brunt of it right now.
