A stylist’s dreams are made of soft, buttery leather and smooth, high-quality silk. How about everything at a reasonable price point? That’s where Cuyana comes in. The brand’s philosophy values style of trends, quality over quantity, and fewer items over a chaotic closet.

Lani and I visited the Georgetown pop-up shop on Tuesday and we were delighted to spend a few minutes between appointments petting everything in the store. The t-shirts are made of a pima modal blend, which basically means that they are the softest t-shirts $40 can buy you. The silk blouses are made of a flowy, sturdy fabric that looks like it could stand years of dry-cleaning.

Cuyana’s leather bags are the real winners though. There are about a dozen different styles of totes, saddle bags, and clutches, all worthy of everyday use. Some of the bags are made out of smooth, structured leather and some out of floppy, relaxed pebbled leather. Our favorite picks are the saddle bag, for $295, and the small carryall tote, for $185.

Originally the Cuyana pop-up was scheduled to close after this weekend, but according to their website, the DC location will now be around through the month of July. The store is gorgeous and monogramming is available on site, so if you can be persuaded to go to Georgetown, stop in to see the beauty for yourself!
