When RosaLovesDC tells me to go see a designer, I don’t ask questions, I make an appointment. The very first spring/summer collection from Virginia Blanca Arrisueño of DeNada Design hit the ball out of the park. Way out. Virginia has translated a traditionally fall/winter line made from Alpaca into cotton knits light and airy enough to wear in the swamp of DC but still stylish enough for the streets of any fashion capital.
Usually when I meet a new designer, I need a little bit of time to sit with the line before pulling for clients. Not this time. I walked out with a bag of merchandise to show a client the next day. The best part? The prices are beyond reasonable and the summer line is one size fits all, which it really does. Kyle, the RLS house model and stylist, has modeled some of our favorites for you below. Can you guess which one went home with her? Here is a list of retailers but you can shop directly from the DeNada website so get to it before the summer is gone!
