Fall Comfort Shoes, our most popular blog of the season, is here! Now if only the weather would cooperate! I wore sandals to go apple picking last week. The good news is that we haven’t had to switch our closets just yet.
This year we have divided the fall comfort shoe blog by trend, rather than brand. Grab a beverage and get comfy, this is a good one!
P.S. As a reminder, almost every shoe featured comes in other colors. Click through to see more options!
Combat boots can be feminine. Heels are optional. Comfort and style are not. Who knew Birkenstock made combat boots, much less pink ones? Personally, I think the Vaneli Zahra Bootie is an incredible style statement.
Clients ask me if clogs are ok to wear all the time. Yes, they are! Sometimes clogs are more on trend than other times (like now). But as far as I’m concerned, clogs are a classic shoe silhouette. Just because clogs are a classic silhouette doesn’t mean you can’t wear one of the amazing evolved styles featured below. Which one is your favorite? Tell us in the comments section below!
Oh, how I love a good, sleek Chelsea boot! The silhouette is perfect with a cropped or flared (or both!) jean. Especially one with a comfortable lug sole that also happens to be waterproof! Have you heard of the brand Pikolinos ? Kyle and I only recently discovered it in a client’s closet. We love it when our clients teach us about new brands!
Lug Sole Loafers and Oxfords
How are you feeling about the lug sole trend? It might be a little bit out there for some of you. I like a lug sole loafer or oxford with a minimal outfit so that the shoe is the star of the look. Would you wear this trend? Let us know in the comments below!
The moto boot has been a major trend the last few seasons and is knocking on the door of classic staple in my book. I wish it would turn colder just so I can start wearing my beloved Camila Moto Boots from Blondo. (They are super on sale at Nordstrom Rack right now!) I’ve had them a few years, and they still feel fresh and on trend. I highly encourage you to buy your own moto boots. You will feel so new and exciting, I promise!
Oooh! I want a pair of these so bad! I’ve already told a few clients to check out this section of the blog to let me know which pair they like best. Of all the trends this season, retro runners is one of the freshest. Which is your favorite pair? Let us know in the comments below. The color of the Vionic Shayla Sneaker featured below is so RLS!
Also a super fresh trend, you may have missed the beginning of the square toes trend because it began when no one was shopping. I am not a fan of the super literal version, which looks like it came straight from the nineties. However, I love the slightly squared off shapes done in every silhouette from a flat to a boot. What do you think of the square toes trend?
The only question is, how long can I wait before I hit “add to cart” on the Naturalizer Julian Lace-Up Bootie? Did you read the Cozy Boucle From Head to Toe blog? Then you know I’m all over the shoes with shearling accents—especially comfortable ones! My other favorites are the Dansko Bettie Genuine Shearling Lined Boot and the Naturalizer Jett Bootie. Are outdoor play dates in the winter a good excuse for me to buy a pair of cozy, lined boots? And how do I choose which one to buy? Help me, please!
A waterproof bootie is a must for your fall/winter wardrobe. At Real Life Style we always require that your waterproof bootie is fashionable as well! In fact, we like to buy our clients’ daily booties in a waterproof style if possible. Luckily, there is no shortage of comfortable and stylish waterproof booties on the market. Below are some of our favorite brands and styles.
Yep, tall boots are back. Both for with a dress and for over leggings, you should have a fresh pair of tall black boots in your shoe wardrobe. Kyle and I both own tall black (waterproof!) boots from Blondo. I even have them in both leather and suede versions. And yes, I do need and wear both, thank you very much 🙂
There is such a thing as a comfortable pump. In fact, one of our clients recently wore her brand new black patent Ally classic pumps to an award ceremony in NYC. She was so worried that she would get blisters (they were heels after all!) that she brought an emergency pair of flats just in case. Well, she didn’t end up needing them. No blisters or discomfort all night. She was as amazed as all of our clients are when they put on these pumps and flats with padding and arch support. Use the code RLS10 for 10% off your first pair!
Click through to all of the pumps below to see other colors and styles available. Each one has been tested by us or one of our clients!
