A few weeks ago, I woke up to an excited text from my friend (and loyal blog follower), Rose, who was traveling in Europe with her family: “In Finland and went to this concept store called ‘Ivana Helsinki,’ and it had an entire fashion collection inspired by dogs!”
Paola Ivana Suhonen, the brains behind “Ivana Helskini,” designed an entire collection inspired by her passion for animal rights and her volunteer work with animals:
“The collection is a special tribute to the dogs Paola Suhonen met and helped in Romania. Through the photo print the audience will get to know the dogs that have had a rougher life than any of us could ever imagine. Ivana Helsinki will tell the tales of each of the dogs in the print during the year 2017.” (Click here to read her full story!)
Cool, right? Rose bought me the photo book of the collection (star friend status), and it’s extraordinary.
The RLS women are pretty big dog-lovers (scroll to the bottom to see pictures of Kyle and me with our pups). In fact, I think there are few things I enjoy more than playing with dogs, eating ice cream, and shopping online while watching Netflix (pretty much how I do all my shopping).
So, I decided to see what other doggy-focused fashion was out there. As it turns out, many major designers have been inspired by furry friends! Scroll to check out what I found. While the prices may not be everyone’s best friend, it can’t hurt to dream!
