Fashionable Street Tights from Athletic Brands

What are street tights, and how do you wear them? Let’s start with the definition. Street tights are fashionable leggings you should wear out of the house. Yes, they can look and feel like exercise pants!

Here’s your fashion formula: fashionable street tights + a fresh shoe + a close fitting tee or a figure flattering tunic + a fabulous topper. For the topper, try a sweater coat (like this new favorite from Jenni Kayne), or Athleta’s Avenue blazer. I’ve included an alternative example below in a real-life outfit of mine from last week.

Lani’s Real Life Example

First of all, please don’t mind the bad elevator selfie! I realized I had to take a picture of my outfit for this week’s blog during a very busy day. So the elevator mirror had to do!

What am I wearing, exactly? On top is a black silk jacket by Natalie Martin from Upstairs on 7th, a favorite DC boutique. I’m also in a black seamless tank from Nordstrom, faux leather leggings from Spanx, my favorite black moto boots from Blondo, and a necklace I bought in Asheville, NC. Add in a black KN95 mask to pair with my Ray Ban sunglasses, and done!
