Kyle and I have been trying to keep the Virginia boutique, Take 5 Boutique, a stylists’ secret (all DC stylists shop there!), but we can’t hold back from our readers any longer. The clothes are so good, we send them to our clients in New York too. Sakina Iskendar, the owner, has an incredible taste level which she channels into her boutiques at Tyson’s Corner Center and the Mosaic District. She finds designers from Turkey and France (Sakina is from Azerbaijan originally) that you’ve never heard of but make clothes you want at reasonable prices.
Let’s just say I did more shopping at Take 5 Boutique last week than I’ve done all year for myself. Yes, this is the store where we also shop for ourselves. Perhaps a little too much!
Keep scrolling down to see Kyle modeling some of the pieces I bought as well as a few other finds.
Happy Shopping!

P.S. In DC? Can’t make it out to VA? Our favorite boutique in the city is Betsy Fisher. See us there for a very secret sample sale on Friday, June 17th.

I can’t wait to wear this vest over all black or white in Israel this summer! I see it with jeans and a tank top or a maxi dress. Add sandals and GO.

What do you call this piece exactly? A wearable scarf? I should know this, right? The designer calls it a Kimono. Whatever you call it, I can’t wait to bring it with me to Israel for the cooler nights and to throw over a tank to filter out some sun or add a bit of modesty. It will also be useful to ward off the intense air conditioning of department stores this summer. Not to mention it pretty much matches everything and makes me feel SO FABULOUS. Can’t beat that!

When was the last time you bought a new little black dress? I can tell you I haven’t bought one since before Max was born, unless you count a gorgeous one I bought for maternity. I’ve been obsessed with the Gucci embroidered bird for a few seasons. This is my affordable version from Roman, one of our favorite designers at Take 5, made of a super lightweight material. I’m thinking it will be my Shabbat dress for Israel.

Here is a chic dress for the hottest of summer days. This dress struck me as so perfect for my mother-in-law it seemed mean to leave it in the store. It fit her perfectly. I’m so good 🙂

A khaki skirt appears so practical, but usually doesn’t have enough style to hold our attention once it enters the closet. Not so with this one. And it looked soooo cute on Kyle.

Purple and white Constellation ring. Need I say more? We are obsessed with Evren Kayar’s Constellation line.

I had a navy and chartreuse dress in the sixth grade that I’m still pining for. Maybe this is a replacement? I can’t stop thinking about this one either!
