Need some inspiration to start putting your warm weather wardrobe together? In the old days, when I had time (you know, before I had kids and ran my own business) I would pick a favorite designer’s runway show each season on which to model my wardrobe. Even if you don’t buy designer fashion, we can all pick our favorite looks and shop for pieces to recreate them at any price point. My perennial favorite was Michael Kors. I haven’t felt the same excitement over his shows the last few years but this spring I was simply floored by how beautiful his collection was. I hope you love it as much as I do! And please let me know your favorite designer this season!

The Big Cleanout – An update!
Well…Let’s just say that my closet did not get “done” on the Monday I professed it would. As usual, life got in the way. Busy with the kids and preferring to sleep, I never got to finish the Marie Kondo book over the weekend. Then I let a client schedule onto my closet cleaning day. And now we are in the thick of spring shopping with barely a break for lunch every day.
The new plan? To wake up at 5am every morning this week to spend an hour pulling out winter, bagging up edited clothes for winter, and putting spring back in. Of course I have to try everything on because of my ever changing size so this is not a quick process! How is it going? Monday morning a kid woke up early so I barely had time to get the laundry away and take a shower. Tuesday I fell back asleep after my alarm went off. Today a kid woke up at 5:55 but I made him hang out while I kept working. I might have to start at 4:30am tomorrow if I’m going to finish before I leave for NY this weekend! This is what is called progress in the life of a working mom…
