Kyle and I were shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for a client last week when I spied what looked like the perfect gold sandal I’d been searching for what seemed like forever. An old gold Prada pair died a few years ago and although I did get a cute, casual pair for Israel last summer, I never truly replaced the dressy but comfortable gold Prada sandal. The key for me is to get something that FEELS comfortable but does not LOOK like a comfort sandal. Know what I mean?
These Marc Fisher slides felt like golden slippers on my feet and as such, were pretty much the only pair of sandals NOT on sale at Nordstrom that day. I wanted them anyway. Of course I don’t actually have time to shop for myself, so I ordered them from the comfort of my desk chair later that night, along with pairs in black leather and black patent. I didn’t intend to keep both pairs of black sandals, but I wanted to be able to compare. Since I rarely wear heels (even for dress occasions) these days, I thought the patent ones might come in handy.

The verdict? Patent is rarely comfortable for me and these Marc Fisher sandals are no exception. I could tell that the gold and black leather pairs would soften up after some wearing in, but the patent pair were too dicey to keep. If you do not have issues with patent, I highly recommend them. They are absolutely gorgeous in person and would do a great job dressing up an outfit.

I was so glad to have looked up the Marc Fisher slides online, because I saw that they also come in amazing tapestry variations. Which one is your favorite? I can’t decide!

Then the most awesome thing happened! I looked up the sandals on the Nordstrom website again to write this blog post, and discovered they are now 25% off for you! As an aside and another reason to shop at Nordstrom, I emailed them to ask for a price adjustment since it had only been a few days since I purchased the sandals at full price, and they credited my credit card within a few hours. Gotta love Nordstrom customer service!
