I love to joke that when anyone says, “These shoes are so comfortable!”, about an actually attractive pair of shoes, I usually roll my eyes. Having had foot surgery and working in a job that requires me to be on my feet a lot has made me quite the skeptic. One of our clients has been swearing by the Kate Spade Carima loafer for a few years now so we’ve slowly been adding more styles into her wardrobe. I happened upon the Carima in silver (and on sale!) the other day and decided to try it. Aaah. This is what my feet told me when I slipped the shoes on. Seriously, I heard them. Aaah. The ball of the foot is seriously padded and every inch of leather inside and out is like butter.

Speaking of cute and comfortable, the shopping gods were with me that day. I also found the Splendid gold boots below on sale, in my size, and oh so comfortable. They too have a very padded footbed and a roomy toe box. Are designers finally getting the memo that we want to be cute and comfortable? I came home and threw away my super worn out gold Cole Haan ankle boots, satisfied that I had finally replaced them.
