Fun colors, great quality, interesting shapes. Lately it has been almost impossible for us to find all three of these attributes in one great suit. That is until our friend Liza Collis invited us to check out the new showroom she was managing in the Shaw neighborhood of DC. We walked in the doors of Argent and immediately knew this would become a go-to for us and our clients.

Argent was founded in 2016 by a tech employee, Sali Christeson, and a former designer at J.Crew and Tory Burch, Eleanor Turner. They saw a gap in the current workwear market for clothing that encouraged women to be bold and feel confident. Eleanor noticed that when shopping, “the salespeople didn’t ask what work we did and consistently tried to dress us in dull suiting. I was uninspired as I immediately thought of workwear in its current state, ill-fitting suiting and an abundance of beige” (read more from their interview in Forbes).
Is beige your happy color? Probably not. Imagine walking into your next meeting in an ultra-flattering Merlot or Emerald or Cobalt suit. And if your daily life doesn’t call for a suit, these jackets also look great styled casually with jeans and a t-shirt. Lani is super lusting after the Merlot jacket to go with her new Merlot Prada glasses!

Ready to step up your workwear? Make an appointment at the DC showroom (or NYC or San Francisco!) where they carry the whole collection, or order online. Scroll down to see some of our favorite pieces, the cool inner workings of the blazers, and our girl Hillary Clinton wearing an Argent blazer.
Happy shopping!

Love the Basketweave Tie Blazer? So does Hillary Clinton, who sported the Lavender/Merlot version at Planned Parenthood’s 100th Anniversary celebration. Looking good, Hill!
