We have found that these Aritzia pants are extremely flattering and popular, especially given the price point. Their Effortless Pant™ comes in eight fabric options (some including short and tall lengths), a low-rise waist version, and a cropped and curve-fit. And their Agency Pant, although not available in quite as many fabrics, can be purchased in over 20 colors and patterns! Talk about endless options!

This Endless High Rise Pant from Athleta is a little more on the casual side of a work pant look, but since so many people don’t wear “traditional” suits anymore, why not wear an athleisure brand to work all day? This pant is available in petite and tall lengths, as well as in lots of colors. However, we do recommend sticking to the basics if you’re wearing them as a versatile work pant. A fun new addition this year: they’ve added the barrel-leg cut. Trendy but different!

AYR is known for its great jeans. I’m sure you recall us mentioning The Secret Sauce before, and we stand by it. They only make a few other styles of pants each year, and The Hype is worth mentioning. It’s a pull-on ponte knit pant that is so comfortable, you could wear it to work or to lounge around the house.
Boden
The Boden Belgravia Ponte Pants are easy ponte work trousers at a great price. It’s not a pull-on pant (because we understand those don’t work for everyone). But it is comfortable, stretchy, and has a super flattering leg shape.

Eloquii is one of our favorite places to shop for work pants that have inclusive sizing. The 365 Straight Leg Pant comes in black and chocolate, and is sold in sizes 14-32. But truly their best pant: The Ultimate Stretch Wide Leg Pant, comes in seven colors (including some fun ones!), is sold in petite, regular, and tall lengths, and is available in sizes 14-32. We love the inclusivity because not everybody is made the same, and brands should account for that!

Frame jeans have been checking all our boxes for several years, but we realized we haven’t been giving their pants enough attention. Some of their pants are too casual or trendy to be considered true office wear. However, these Slim Palazzo Trousers are among our favorite leg shapes. M.M. LaFleur never disappoints with perfect work pants. Their new Bala Barrel Pant is to die for if you’re interested in a barrel-shaped work pant. They’re so gorgeous. The Harmon Travel Trouser (also made in the travel-friendly and machine-washable Orgami Tech fabric) is a pull-on pant perfect for those airport-to-meeting days. And of course, Lani’s favorite, their Bia Pleated Trouser, which you might remember, was one of Lani’s favorite purchases of 2025.

Miraclesuit is a brand that focuses on shaping and sculpting. Their focus leans toward bathing suits and shapewear, but they do offer a few clothing items that provide support and expert shaping without requiring a compressive undergarment. Their Mirasculpt Wide Leg Pant has an interior shaping panel for targeted compression in the right places.

NYDJ ponte trousers feel super cozy but look truly professional. Hard to fit? These are your pants. NYDJ’s Sculpt-Her line never disappoints with a wide range of options and silhouettes. Who doesn’t love a leg-lengthening silhouette that feels like leggings? We normally include their classic pants, but the Bella Trouser Pants have a slightly wider leg shape, which we prefer these days.

We’ve had major success over the past couple of shopping seasons with the Rag & Bone Irina Pant. It comes in a few different lengths and styles, but currently, the focus is on the Irina Kick Flare Pants and the Irina Refine Knit Wide-Leg Pants. Quince doesn’t always hit the mark with every piece, but their ponte pants remain among our favorite items from the brand. Theory has long been our go-to brand for work pants among many clients. We recommend the Treeca Pant for more petite women. It comes in the linked crepe fabric as well as three different linens. Universal Standard
For the same reason we included Universal Standard in our Comfortable Blazer blog (quality and size range), we have also included it here. It is nearly impossible to find a brand that ranges in size from 00-40, so we commend Universal Standard for doing it, and doing it well. Their Audrey Tailored Ponte Pant is a super classic cut. If you’re interested in something a little more fun and adventurous, the Pintuck Wide Leg Ponte Pant is our pick from the brand.

Vuori
If you have a job that requires a lot of travel, look no further than the Vuori Villa Wideleg Trouser, especially for the warm weather months. These pants are made from a super lightweight, moisture-wicking fabric that doesn’t wrinkle. What more could you want? Lots of athleisure brands make a similar style of trousers, but we always find ourselves coming back to these particular pants for our travel-based clients. We can’t recommend them enough!

So, they are pretty darn close! The fabric and drape are very similar to the Athleta pants. I had to try a few pairs to find the right fit — they run long. I am 5’5″ and wear a 16 regular in the Athleta, but the XL petite was the right fit in the Old Navy. Other minor differences – the Athleta ones have zippered pockets for extra security, which the Old Navy ones don’t have, but I don’t mind. The waistband on the Old Navy pants has gathered fabric around the elastic in the back, which gives them a little bit more casual look since the Athleta pants are smooth all the way around. Again, small differences and if I wear them to work I’ll probably have a jacket over it anyway so it wouldn’t really matter. Definitely putting them in the rotation for work travel!!
