Just in case you were wondering what two fashionistas want this holiday season, and even if you weren’t, we are going to tell you! Scroll through for comments under each item and stay tuned for an update of what we did and didn’t get on our lists after the holiday! I am including my birthday wish list also because having a mid-November birthday, it is perfectly situation for combo over-the-top gifts. Unfortunately my kid’s birthdays are both in December, so between that and Hanukkah’s 8 nights, they just think they get a present every night of December. It is a crazy month!
Lani’s Holiday Wish List
Do you know that I’m obsessed with roller-skating? Probably not because like everything else I super enjoy doing, I just don’t make the effort to do it. I think the last time I went roller-skating was before I had kids. Mr. Real Life Style, my twin sister, her husband, and I had to drive to the middle-of-nowhere Maryland to find a roller-rink. If anyone knows why all the roller-rinks closed, can you please tell me? I’m thinking if James and I get matching roller skates (because he is the one who had the idea of gold roller skates), we can even just skate around our parking lot together.
How chic and simple is this cross-body? It fits just your phone, some cards, and hopefully a lip gloss. I’m hoping to use it when we are shopping for clients. Not all clothes have pockets unfortunately and I need to have my phone on me all the time of course. This burgundy color is the perfect neutral to go with black or brown and is super sophisticated.
Again, I am being influenced by James, my 6 year-old. He is obsessed with his Aviator Nation sweatshirt (and so cute!), so now Mr. Real Life Style and I want to match him. However, I do not plan to wear a bikini top under mine. Unless of course I wake up looking like the model in the picture. If you are horrified by the cost, just think, you could have one perfect hoodie or 5 mediocre ones.
Isn’t it pretty :)? My iPad is as old as Max (8). It actually still works perfectly well for movies, etc. but is glitchy and heavy enough that I’d rather drag my new computer with me when we travel to New York for clients. This new iPad would take quite a few pounds off my back and allow us to show clients items quickly during appointments on a big screen.
This iPad Smart Keypad and Cover is exactly that; it acts as a stand and full keyboard and then folds away as a lightweight cover when not in use. Very efficient to slip into my bag for everyday client appointments, trips to New York, and writing the weekly newsletter while the kids are in Karate.
Can you believe how long I’ve waited to put in something from Liberty London? My restraint is shocking! The new reversible bedding collection is sublime. I actually like the other side of this bedding set, the small digital look flowers somehow remind me of vintage video game graphics. I would flip the whole thing on my bed, using the paisley pattern as the accent.
Would you need any other eye shadow beside this palette? lune + aster is the great quality private label brand from Blue Mercury. I love palettes. I can’t deal with opening and closing a lot of little containers when I’m putting on makeup.
I’ve been using my last Nars blush palette for years so it is time for a new one. These palettes are the best value ever. You buy blush once and then don’t have to think about it again for years. Any color you could want is here. No decision making needed, open up the one palette and any blush you want is at the ready.
Clearing my bedside table is a constant battle. I’m opening this felt pocket would help clear the reading material, which is my real issue, off the surface. It is worth a try!
Kyle’s Holiday Wish List
For anyone not in the loop, I got engaged in August! I custom designed my ring with the brilliant jewelers Bario Neal in Philadelphia, as I knew I wanted one of their unique cluster rings utilizing a mix of ethically sourced diamonds and stones. Recently in their email newsletter, they shared these absolutely gorgeous earrings using the same exact stones in my engagement ring: white diamonds, champagne diamonds, and morganites.
I had an obsession with tie-dye all summer, and now I’m ready to take this trend into the winter. I’m picturing this cashmere sweater under a blazer for a cozy and colorful outfit.
I always purchase my dog multiple gifts for Christmas, because it brings me so much happiness to watch her get excited like a little kid. We already gave her a new bed that we got during a Black Friday sale, which she’s barely left since we brought it home. Now I’m ready for a doggy fashion fix. The store Shop Dog & Co is one of Lani’s and my favorite in Columbus Circle’s underground in New York.
I’m always cold, and I’m wearing a scarf all winter long. This leads to a lot of wear and tear on some of my favorites. My black scarf has needed a replacement for years, so hopefully this Everlane one ends up under my tree!
Another Everlane piece on my wishlist, as they are one of my favorite retailers! Are you into wide leg jeans as much as I am? I have one pair from Reformation and I’m ready for a darker color.
I’m loving these Blondo boots for skirts and dresses, as they have a slight heel and an over-the-knee silhouette that’s comfortable, warm, and cute. The grey is a great alternative to black, which can feel like too much of a contrast with some of my colorful dresses.
