Do you have what it takes to start your own personal styling business?
I’m excited to announce that Real Life Style and DC Style Factory, two of DC’s premier styling agencies, have joined forces to create The Stylist Studio, a two-day intensive, interactive training program for up-and-coming personal stylists. This professional development program is designed to equip aspiring personal stylists with the skills to work one-on-one with clients.
Real Life Style founder Lani Inlander and DC Style Factory founder Rosana Vollmerhausen have a combined 30 years in fashion and personal styling, helping hundreds of clients in DC, New York and across the country look their best. These women have each overcome the challenges of creating their our own personal styling businesses and are recognized as DC’s best.
Lani and Rosana for years have fielded requests from people interested in learning how to become personal stylists. Accordingly, they developed a training program to meet this need. The Stylist Studio was born!
The Stylist Studio consists of two modules:
- Personal Styling and The Client Relationship
- The Business of Personal Styling: Entrepreneurship 101
Student stylists receive hands-on training from Lani and Rosana at Betsy Fisher and Kit and Ace, providing access to top designers and relationships with two of DC’s leading retailers.
Trainees also receive business development basics. Should you form an LLC or sole proprietorship? How do you develop your services and reputation? How do you identify and connect with your ideal client? How do you market your services? How much should you charge? Lani and Rosana counsel program participants on these topics and more.
Students also receive The Stylist Studio training manual, ensuring program graduates leave with the resources to move forward towards fulfilling their goals.
Each session of The Stylist Studio is limited to 10 students to ensure that stylists have ample personal interaction with Lani and Rosana.
To receive more information on The Stylist Studio, please email email@example.com to express interest. Lani will provide interested parties with an application. Individuals who refer a student that registers will receive a $100 credit.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email Lani (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Rosana (email@example.com).
