The Stylist Studio, Round 2

Last January, DC Style Factory founder Rosana Vollmerhausen and I launched The Stylist Studio, a two-day intensive, interactive training program that teaches up-and-coming personal stylists what they need to know to start their own professional personal styling business. Due to the program’s great success, we decided to offer it again over MLK weekend this year. (And we were lucky enough to have photographer-extraordinaire Emma McAlary there to document the occasion!)

This professional development program equips aspiring personal stylists with the skills to work one-on-one with clients. The Stylist Studio’s Introductory Training consists of two modules to help you become a personal stylist: “Personal Styling and the Client Relationship” and “The Business of Personal Styling: Entrepreneurship 101.” As part of the training, students receive The Stylist Studio Training Manual to use as a reference while pursuing a career in personal styling and image consulting.

Graduates of the Introductory Training can sign up for further training in the form of three intensive courses that dive deeper into the core elements of personal styling: the Closet Review, Personal Shopping, and Outfit Creation.

Are you interested in becoming a personal stylist, image consultant or personal shopper? Do you know someone who is interested in working in fashion? You can register for the next Stylist Studio (date tba) by sending me an email (lani@real-life-style.com) or registering through the Stylist Studio website.

Happy Styling!
