Kyle Does a Tiny Edit of Lani’s Closet!

Although I have plenty of clothes I love (and, therefore, plenty to wear), I have been frustrated of late with how crowded my closet has become. I should also mention that I took great advantage of the January sales, which probably did not help matters. And then I read Courtney Carver‘s “10 Tiny Steps to Take Towards Your Tiny Wardrobe,” and I was like, “I must do something!” (Scroll down to read the steps and click through for the details on her website.) Yep, it was time to purge the personal stylist’s closet. So who does the stylist ask for …

Fashion Resolutions are the Best Resolutions

My beef with New Year’s resolutions is that they are usually time consuming items that are set up to make you feel bad if you fail. Losing weight, starting an exercise regimen or meditation practice; these things require daily dedication, and are therefore challenging  to fit into our busy work and family lives. RLS Recommended Closet Tools on Super Sale!

Our favorite closet tools are on sale! If you read this blog regularly, and you haven’t yet changed your hangers to Huggable Hangers, shame on you. Seriously. At the current sale price of $22.49 for a box of 40, you have run out of excuses. Don’t forget to edit your wardrobe as you change the hangers. Where should you hang your clothes as you make the Huggable Hanger switch? On a handy dandy folding rolling rack, just like the one the professionals (that’s us!) use. Shoes still hanging out at the bottom of your closet? I don’t think so. Drop …

True Confessions of a Personal Stylist

I lied to you. Seriously. I tell my friends, clients and blog readers to pick a date by which they want to fit into their pre-baby or other weight gain/body change happening clothes, and stick to it. If the clothes don’t fit by that date, away they go. I’ve also told you that even if you are hanging onto clothing that doesn’t currently fit, you should review it every season to make sure you still want to hang onto it. It is amazing how out of style your “favorites” will look to you after sitting in a bin for 5 …

The Tiny Wardrobe Tour

A photo posted by Courtney Carver (@bemorewithless) on Oct 15, 2016 at 8:58am PDT . .I mean, wow. That kind of says it all. Courtney Carver, creator of the blog Be More With Less, began Project 333 in 2010. What is Project 333? The idea that living with the same 33 pieces of clothing (including shoes and jewelry!) for 3 months straight will give you back time, money and sanity. Since then, it has been covered everywhere from O Magazine to the Today Show. Sound impossible? Yeah, I thought so too before I saw Courtney speak as part of her Tiny Wardrobe tour at …
