My nails are ready for tropical weather! Today is my first day in the sunshine state, where I’ll be spending the next week on the beach drinking La Croix sparkling water and reading magazines. Here is a pro tip: find a boyfriend who is from Florida (and not just any part of Florida, I’m talking about the criminally underrated Emerald Coast). Since I’ll be wearing nothing but tank tops and beach shorts for the next few days, I decided to let my nails shine instead of my outfits. My base color is Essie Find Me An Oasis, and the flowers are made with three pinky/purple colors: Cirque Colors Vigo, Butter London Queen Vic, and Formula X Ignite. For anyone that is interested in the perfect white polish, I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for the middle of the flowers. It is the most creamy, opaque white I’ve ever used.
While I head south for the week, Lani is also getting her much-needed vacation up north. As you may recall from her blog post about the perfect summer occasion dress, she is headed to Wisconsin for a wedding. She is prepared for a long weekend (without the kids) of fun and relaxation.
