Fall 2017 Trend #6: Queen Victoria’s Secret

Valentino | Simone Rocha | Loewe

.

Remember how Renaissance sleeves and necklines were all the rage in Fall 2016? Well, move aside, Elizabeth I: There’s a new queen in town.

Victorian collars ruled the Fall 2017 runways, but unlike clothing from the actual Victorian period, these 21st century looks are corset-free! For all the girly girls out there (Greetings to my kindred spirits!), this trend is totally up your alley – lace and ruffles galore! If you prefer an edgier look, try a neutral-colored Victorian blouse with a pair of distressed jeans and chunky jewelry. The best part about a new trend is seeing how people make it their own!
