My relationship with denim, a critical closet staple, has gone through many phases: When I was 10, it was considered stylish to wear skirts over flare jeans (seriously, what?!). When I was 15, jeggings rocked the world and shaped my style for the rest of high school. When I was 20 and in college, oversized denim shirts with leggings was a standard look (bonus points if you found the shirt at a thrift store).
And now? Denim is on EVERYTHING! Coats, sweatshirts, shoes, purses, hats, etc. Mixing and matching washes is a particularly popular look, perhaps stemming from the patchwork trend? It’s a brave new world for denim-lovers! Keep scrolling for some funky denim outfit ideas.
