Yep, its almost that time again! Fall coat shopping is here! Nothing makes one’s fall wardrobe feel fresher than a new and exciting outerwear option (or two). So what should you be adding to your wardrobe this fall? Keep reading to find out the outerwear trends we are most excited about this season. As usual, we have provided shoppable options at all price points below the runway inspiration.

Fashionable Fleece

Fleece, as a trend? I mean, how awesome is that? Lani has never had a fleece coat because as practical as they are, they have historically been just too unfashionable, but now…(We hope Mr. Real Life Style is not reading this! He will be very upset if she takes up any more space in the coat closet they are supposed to share!) Do you remember the Uniqlo fleece turtleneck RLS was obsessed with last year and did wear as a fashion piece? Well Kyle spotted them in store already last week! Tuckernuck has an uber -fashionable version we are also super excited about.

Below the Knee Coats

Oh how we love the drama of the below the knee coat! And don’t think you have to be tall for this trend. While some styles do require more height, we have sold this trend to clients from 5’2″ and up. A long coat can actually make you look taller, especially with a heel, platform, or chunky boot. Yes, you can have your below the knee coat in basic black or beautiful camel, but you can also have it in an amazing pattern, neon pink, or teddy bear fabric. Have fun!

Caped Crusader

Who doesn’t love a good cape? Capes are usually something we pull out as a great coat trick for maternity clients and when a dress has a tricky sleeve, but you don’t have to save them for a special occasion. I absolutely love the camel cape below from Celine, shown with a cashmere turtleneck and faded jeans. Now that’s fashion!
