The Oscars 2017: A New Red Carpet Trend Emerges

What did you think of the Oscars red carpet this year? I thought that there were some gorgeous gowns on a beautifully diverse group of actresses. Here’s one thing that pleasantly surprised me: the popular exaggerated V neckline is phasing out. Instead, the new trends seem to be the mockneck and the sweetheart neckline. I love it!!

My personal best dressed list was designed by Armani Privé: Nicole Kidman’s mandala-bedazzled gown, Emma Robert’s vintage Armani stunner, and Isabelle Huppert’s laidback elegant look.

And for those wondering, the blue ribbons show support of the A.C.L.U. 🙂

The Official RLS Dress

Lani’s favorite dress of the whole evening was on a real person, not an actress. Good thing her stunning dress got plenty of air time with the number of Oscars won (for real and by mistake!) by her boyfriend. Now if someone could just tell her who designed that lavender dress. She thinks it looks like J. Mendel. What do you think?
