Have you noticed a particular shape popping up everywhere? It’s impossible to walk through a shopping mall without seeing stars (picture a cartoon character recovering from a blow to the head and that’s me at the mall)!
I must confess: stars really should have made it into one of the Fall 2017 Trend posts! Major brands Chanel and Christian Dior centered their Fall 2017 collections around celestial imagery, and even the shirt all three RLS ladies bought from Target’s new label was star-printed (*smacks forehead*)! So, I’ve decided to make it up to you by giving you twice as many sample outfits (each for a different occasion and/or time of day). I guess you can consider this post a Fall Trend bonus-blog!
Even though real stars only come out at night, your starry fashion doesn’t have to stay hidden in the closet until after dark. You can rock stars night or day (even at the office)!
If you feel uncomfortable with shimmer and shine during the day, choose a star-pattern in muted or neutral colors and pair that item with simple pieces. Can you mix two star items in one outfit? Sure! Just consider whether or not the patterns’ compliment each other in color and scale. Or, hey, just go crazy! Who am I to judge?
